At the dawn of adulthood, a crucial question troubles the mind of every young person: “What career should I pursue?” This question, which often arises between high school and higher education, can lead to family tensions and deep personal introspection.

The answer to this question is not always straightforward. I will present two ways to approach it, to provide you with some food for thought.

When you choose fields like business management, industrial mechanics, or similar areas, your job depends on the existence of companies or industries willing to offer you an opportunity. In this case, you are entirely dependent on the system.

In contrast, by choosing a career in sectors such as graphic design, mechanics, agriculture, or others, you can use your skills to serve an individual, including yourself (self-employment), or a small business whose reputation is yet to be established. This choice offers moderate dependence on the system with broader possibilities for autonomy.

Every career choice has consequences. Do not choose a career simply because it seems attractive or trendy, only to later complain about the system. Regardless of the country, the system existed before you. It is up to you to find the flaws, exploit them, and then, when the time comes, address them.

Think carefully and feel free to share your thoughts in the comments. I am curious to hear your perspective on the matter.
